Founded by Rebeccah Bennett in 2010, InPower Institute’s mission is to advance a more just and vibrant world through community healing and well-being initiatives that unleash people power. At InPower, we understand that our greatest resource for actualizing our mission lies right at our core.

We are grounded in the traditions and wisdom of African diaspora cultures and families, black woman hood and sisterhood, ancestral reverence, indigenous knowledge, liberation theory, queer and trans liberation, and movements for racial, social, economic and environmental justice.
These roots shape who we are and how we heal.
They remind us of where we come from, help us stay grounded in truth, and connect us to something greater than ourselves.
